[Anderson Animal Shelter]

Enrollment is now taking place for Critter Camp 2010, a one-week day camp program for animal-loving kids at Anderson Animal Shelter.  Session I for children ages 6-8 will be held July 12th-16th.  Session II for children ages 9-12 will be held July 19th-23rd. Both sessions occur from 9am-1pm each day.

Campers will spend the week engaged in arts & crafts, games, and activities with an animal welfare theme.  There will be plenty of hands-on time with shelter animals as well.  This summer camp is an excellent opportunity for children to learn more about the importance of vital animal issues such as proper pet care, spaying and neutering to help with the overpopulation problem, and animal safety while in a fun and engaging environment.

The cost for the week long camp is $160.00 which includes all camp supplies, activities, and end of the week party and prizes.  Campers need to bring a sack lunch each day that does not need to be refrigerated.  For more information, contact Anna Friedman, Volunteer and Community Outreach Coordinator, at (847) 697-2880 ext *51 or afriedman@andersonanimalshelter.org
