There was an actual home break in to a Shadow Hill home last weekend that resulted in tens of thousands of dollars worth of damage and loss.
By any chance was this break in on Monument Rd?

Actually it is a girl from the Williamsburg subdivision and her friend...(the Providence sign)I only know this bc my girlfriend has kids at the high school and these girls are bragging about it! They are going to be sophomores!

They sure make girls different nowadays... I would NEVER have had the guts to do something like that when I was in high school!! I heard a similar story but didn't want to post it for fear it was just hearsay. A woman my husband works with said the same thing--girls from South Elgin H.S. were bragging about what they did to the sign. Anyone know how or if they've been held accountable?

If you truly know who it is and have pretty reliable sources, the police would love to know about it. They'll investigate it for sure if you provide the information. But, you'd have to be positive - it can't just be hearsay. I'm not accusing you of that or discrediting your information; I'm just wary because the minute people play "telephone", a few important details get lost or altered with each person. Who knows - the kids bragging that they did it could think it sounds cool to have pulled off the stunt and aren't actually the ones who did it but are going along with that to get the attention. The logic of some teens is like that.
I see someone else posted now. South Elgin H.S. girls - would Williamsburg kids go to South Elgin? So, right there, do we already have a discrepancy, or someone who moved to Williamsburg who previously went to South Elgin and continued to go there even though they live out of district?

Topaz- I would not post this if I was not FOR SURE!! However- I am well aware of what some of these kids are capible of therefore I do not want to get involved with the police. Also I am looking out for my friend's child in HS who does not want to get involved! It happened and will probobly happen again....the girls took 2 letters and a boy took 1 for sure but that boy moved out of state to CA the week after. Don't know where the other letters are. Guess I already got involved by posting so enough said......

Sorry but this is BS. What are you teaching you kids, and your friends kids. You are teaching them that bully's can get away with stuff. These kids don't have to know who turned them in. CALL the cops now.... Tell them what you know, let them handle it. You don't have to leave your name. They will investigate it.
You are setting a poor example IMHO...

Not sure I agree with Topaz to not call the police if you are not 100% sure. Police work on tips all the time, most of them wrong. However, even if the tip is wrong, quite often the truth will come out while talking to these kids. If they did not do it they may know who did. My guess is most kids would spill the beans if questioned by police. At the very least it would make then think twice knowing the police are involved.

Ewwwwwwwwwwwwww.... so my family and I are sitting down to dinner, at our table right in front of our sliding doors, and what do we happen to see in the school parking lot? A car quickly comes out of our subdivision (Remington) and pulls up to the school... a grown man jumps out and walks between the 7th and 8th grade wings of the school and urinates on the side of the school!! I am absolutely disgusted!! I completely understand urgency when nature calls but this just makes me want to throw up!! Isn't public urination illegal?
